Delhi hosted Kazakh-Indian exhibition of tourist opportunities
Delhi, India hosted an interactive tourist exhibition «Welcome to Kazakhstan. Country of Nomads» with the assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan.
The exhibition was attended by over 150 people, representatives of the local tourism business and related associations wishing to visit Kazakhstan, the MFA reported.
Kazakhstan's Ambassador to India Bulat Sarsenbayev noted high dynamics of development of tourist cooperation between the two countries. According to recent statistics, the volume of inbound tourist flow from India increased by 35% since the last year. Most of the Indian tourists are interested in the cultural and educational vacation in cities such as Almaty and Astana.
The diplomat also expressed confidence that the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 will be one of the main events of the coming year, and the exhibition is an additional opportunity to attract tourists from India.
The exhibition also presented the Winter Universiade-2017 in Almaty and many other tourist destinations in Kazakhstan.
