Greece appointed the commissioner on EXPO 2017
Secretary general of the Ministry of Economics and development of Greece Ilias Ksantakos is appointed as a commissioner of the EXPO 2017 pavilion, BNews.kz reported.
The corresponding missive with the decision of the government of Greece was sent through Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Athens to the Secretariat of the EXPO 2017 commissioner.
At an exhibition, Greece intends to provide concrete examples of power infrastructure according to the international environmental standards. The Mediterranean country has considerable experience in the questions connected with the renewables (R), in particular wind and solar PV power system, uses of RES in buildings, etc., the press service of the secretariat of the commissioner EXPO 2017 reports.
The period of EXPO 2017 holding successfully coincides with time of mass holidays in Greece when inhabitants of Hellas leave the countries. Probably, the idea to combine the holiday with visit of an exhibition, a sightseeing of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, will draw attention of residents of Greece, and the visa-free regime will serve as an additional incentive.
Let's remind that the International specialized EXPO 2017 exhibition will take place from June 10 to September 10, 2017 in Astana. For today 112 countries and 18 international organizations participate in the exhibition.
