Today Majilis holds International conference in honor of the 25 anniversary of Kazakhstan independence
Today, on November 28, in Astana at the initiative of Majilis and the MFA of Kazakhstan the International conference on a subject: "25 anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Results. Achievements. Prospection" is held, BNews.kz reported. The conference will begin the work in Astana at 10:00 am in the Zheruiyk hall of Rixos President Astana hotel.
Parliamentarians and experts from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Finland, Germany and Sweden participate in the forum.
The chairman of Majilis of parliament Nurlan Nigmatullin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Idrisov will deliver a speech at the opening of a plenary session. Within the forum also the Astana mayor Asset Isekeshev and the minister of information and communications Dauren Abayev also will participate.
The conference will take place on three thematic sessions:
"The main results of economic and political reforms in Kazakhstan";
"Kazakhstan in world politics";
Within the conference the presentation of the joint report of leading experts of Institute for Security & Development Policy (ISDP, Stockholm) and Institute of Central Asia and the Caucasus of Johns Hopkins University (CACI, Washington) is planned. Subject: "Kazakhstan 2041: Scenarios for the Next 25 Years" ("Kazakhstan 2041: scenarios of development the next 25 years").
The chairman of Committee of Majilis on the international affairs, defense and safety Maulen Ashimbayev will make a speech at summing up a conference.
