A.Mamin inspected course of a ferry complex construction in Kuryk port
Today first deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin visited Mangystau region where he inspected the course of a ferry complex construction in Kuryk port, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
The first deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan was informed on the final stage of the first start-up complex construction in Kuryk port.
Rails and sleepers from Ersay station to Kuryk port are completely laid with more than 12 kilometers long. Works on way ballasting with crushed stone are complete. 4.3 million cubic meter of excavation is made. Works on construction of the western protective pier of 400,000 tons of crushed stone are also made. Dredging of the approach canal and water area of port of 525,000 cubic meter of soil is complete.
Lines of external power supply of 10 kW are built. Works on lifting and transitional bridge construction are actively conducted. Objects of the first start-up complex in Kuryk port will be put into operation until the end of the current year.
"The ferry complex in Kuryk port is an important link of transport and logistic system of the Transcaspian international transport route. It will give a powerful impulse to development of transit and transport capacity of Kazakhstan and project implementation will be promoted by New Silk way," A. Mamin said.
The ferry complex in Kuryk port will serve five ferry boats a day, thereby having provided load handling of four million tons per year.
