Competition between leading chess players of Kazakhstan held in Astana

The second stage of a blitz marathon "Total-open" dated for the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Academy of chess of Darmen Sadvakasov in Astana, correspondent reports.

26 chess players among whom there is the international grand master, the international master, four FIDE masters, candidates for the Master of Sports and owners of chess categories participated in a competition.   

Following the results of a tournament international grand master Husnutdinov Rustam won first place with result of eight points from nine, international master Aitbayev Aslan won the second, FIDE  master Nugumanov Bakhtiyar took the third place.

FIDE master Kovanova Maria showed the best result among women, FIDE master Agmanov Zhandos was the best among juniors up to 18 years.

Refereeing on a tournament was provided by a crew under the leadership of the FIDE arbitrator Nurlan Ibrayev.

The competition is held with assistance of the international school Astana of AOO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" and Associations of scholars of the international grant of the President of Kazakhstan Bolashak.
