State University students in Kokshetau to learn Chinese
The Kokshetau State University of Sh. Ualikhanov will become the fifth in Kazakhstan where Confucius's Institute will begin to work. Students will learn Chinese language at the expense of the Chinese side, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
Representatives of Urumchiysky agrarian institute of Confucius in Chin Zhan's province Zhi Zhian Vyn, Yan Zhianlin and others are part of the delegation of Institute of Confucius which visited Kokshetau.
"We arrived with the purpose to examine activities of your university, to establish close partnership (the program of the academic mobility of students and teachers, the organization of training, consultations), to inform about the Chinese culture and social life, economy, to help strengthening of the friendly relations of two countries," guests explained.
China established partnership in economic, cultural, political, educational, scientific fields of activity with many countries of the world including with Kazakhstan. Interest in this country increases every day and now Chinese is learned by more than 30 million people in the world. Many educational institutions accept Chinese language as the main for studying.
There were four universities in our country where students learn Chinese language: ENU of L. Gumilev (Astana), KazNU of Al-Farabi (Almaty), the Aktyubinsk state teacher's college and KarGTU (Karaganda). Confucius's institute works in four directions: agrarian, economic, sphere of tourism, multilingualism. The headquarters is in Hanban city.
Zhi Zhian Vyn and the rector of the Kokshetau State University signed the bilateral agreement in three languages. It should be noted that learning chinese language will be at the expense of the Chinese side. For development of Chinese based on KGU of Sh. Ualikhanov about 500,000 dollars are invested.
Guests visited laboratory of Restaurant case and hotel business, the museum of history of university, kabinetykazakhsky and Russian philology, language, English, educational laboratories of departments of chemistry and biotechnology, water resources, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, etc.
The trip to the Shchuchinsk-Burabaysky resort area became the pleasant end of the visit for the Chinese delegation.
