Askar Mamin: Kazakhstan makes a powerful contribution to development of steady transport system of the region
The First Deputy Prime minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin participated in the Global conference on steady transport which took place in Ashgabat, BNews.kz reported.
A. Mamin noted importance of subject of steady transport in the context of economic development of the countries of the region which don't have an exit to world oceans and the international sea lanes.
"Providing trade flows with modern logistic infrastructure and high-quality service on the speed and the price of delivery will allow the countries – to participants of transit corridors to master the new markets and to attract cargo flows," A. Mamin said.
According to him, acceptance within the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly of Sustainable development goals, including creation of transit and transport infrastructure of steady nature, is serious break in global development.
"Kazakhstan makes the significant contribution to development and upgrade of logistic infrastructure of the region," A. Mamin emphasized.
Within participation in the Global conference the First Deputy Prime minister of Kazakhstan was accepted by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The parties emphasized a role and the importance of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in development of the bilateral Kazakhstan-Turkmen relations, strengthening of a cooperation in all spheres of interstate communications.
During the meeting the prospects of development of a railway corridor "North – South" important part of which is the new long distance railway Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran are discussed. In December, 2014 presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran opened a long distance railway of Uzen – Bereket – Gorgan, connecting three states.
The parties noted importance of this international highway for development of economy of the region, and also prosperity and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Besides, exchange of opinions concerning development of the Kazakhstan-Turkmen cooperation in the gas industry, cross-border water use took place.
A. Mamin thanked the Turkmen side for participation in the forthcoming international EXPO 2017 exhibition "Future Energy".
