Kazakhstan Majilis approves extension of the moratorium on sale of land to foreigners

In Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan the law on prolongation of the moratorium in the land code on sale of land to foreigners is approved, BNews.kz correspondent reported.


Deputies of Majilis of Kazakhstan approved the bill of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On introduction of amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of June 30, 2016 "On suspension of action of separate regulations of the Land code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and enforcement of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of November 2, 2015 "On modification and additions in the Land code of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

As the basis for project development of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On introduction of amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of June 30, 2016 "On suspension of action of separate regulations of the Land code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and enforcement of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of November 2, 2015 "On modification and additions in the Land code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" the Presidential decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan of August 18, 2016 "On modification of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan of May 6, 2016 "On entering of the moratorium on application of separate regulations of the land legislation" served.

"This bill is submitted for your consideration. It is developed in pursuance of the Presidential decree of August 18, 2016. This Decree was accepted in connection with discussion of some land questions by the public in connection with which the moratorium on prolongation of terms was accepted. Just recently the relevant bill in which the time frame of the moratorium was specified till December 31 of the current year was adopted. In case of discussion in a work progress of the land commission all questions for acceptance of the discussed questions the decision on need of creation of special fund, on introduction of necessary changes, and also on forming corresponding to the cadastral cost of farmlands therefore after determination of all these questions there was a need to return was made. Our offer which was accepted in a work progress of the land commission found support of the President of Kazakhstan and this bill offers to bring in the existing moratorium for five years till December 31, 2021," the deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Agriculture  Askar Myrzakhmetov reported.
