Ilya Ilyin becomes member of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan
The Kazakhstan weightlifter Ilya Ilyin became the member of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the champion said to journalists before the enlarged meeting of Council of APK devoted to the 25 anniversary of independence of the country, correspondent BNews.kz reports.
"I learned about it literally the other day. I was called, offered and I, of course, agreed, and today I will be given the official ticket of the member of APK. I will do everything that depends on me. Everything that I will be able for the people of Kazakhstan," I. Ilyin reported.
Answering the question of journalists - what it means to the champion to be a member of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the weightlifter said that for him, first of all it is responsibility, and also an opportunity to bring benefit to the country, in other role.
"For me it is a new road, new vision and responsibility. I think that it is the first inclinations of further career which I for the present don't know. Anyway, I have good data which I shall send to the course of creation, to the course of the correct thinking and the vision. Also I think that in the future I will bring some benefit to the country not only in sports career as was earlier, but also in public work. Here what means to me to be a member of APK. That's wonderful. Our country multinational and Assembly collects all our nationalities in a single whole. And we advance to the best of our country here," I. Ilyin said.
