Turkic-speaking countries to discuss development of alternative power engineering in Astana
The third meeting of the commission for the environment and natural resources of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) will take place in Astana, BNews.kz own correspondent in Baku reported.
TurkPA - the parliamentary association of the Turkic-speaking countries created at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Association includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey. The national assembly of Hungary has received the status of the observer during the fifth plenary session of TurkPA in Baku in June 2014.
For participation in the meeting the chairman of the parliamentary Healthcare Committee Akhliman Amiraslanov and deputy of MM Ilham Aliyev have left for the capital of Kazakhstan from Azerbaijan on Monday.
"A subject of negotiations within the third meeting of the commission of TurkPA – "Development of alternative energy sources". This subject is conformable with the slogan of the international specialized EXPO 2017 exhibition which is taking place in Astana since June 10," the Azerbaijani parliament noted.
The first meeting of the commission has taken place in April 2015 in Turkey, and the second has been devoted to the fight against desertification in the Turkic-speaking countries, – in November 2016 in Azerbaijan, questions of global climate change were discussed.
Also within the visit to Astana, the Azerbaijani parliamentarians will participate in the international conference on the topic "Legislative Support to Innovative Economy" which is held for the promotion of the purposes and problems of the EXPO 2017 exhibition.
The visit will last until June 22.
