750,000 tons of oil are extracted on Kashagan since its launch
Since launch of the oil and gas field Kashagan about 750,000 tons of oil are extracted, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev reported at the press conference in the government, BNews.kz correspondent reported.
"As for Kashagan oil, this year about 750,000 tons were extracted. It is until the end of the year planned to extract about one million. It is generally exported through system of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). For this CPC expanded the capacities," K. Bozumbayev reported.
Today, the field is one of the world's largest. Before Kashagan, comparable on such scales, field was found in 1968 on Alaska which already 50 years hold this level.
So, test production of the field Kashagan began on September 28, 2016, and on November 1 oil extraction came to commercial level.
