Azerbaijan to export horse meat to Kazakhstan
Azerbaijan intends to export a horse meat to various countries including to Kazakhstan. Deputy minister of agricultural industry of the Azerbaijan Republic Seifyaddin Talybov told about it, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
According to the deputy minister, the special commission on export of a horse meat which will be engaged in identification of genetic potential of breeding qualities of horses is created under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.
"Horses are grown on production enterprises of the Ministry of Agriculture along with family households. Generally the Karabakh breed and dilboz are widespread in Azerbaijan. Serious achievements in forming of a gene pool of these horses are received. Now works on development of horse meat export with preserving this gene pool are conducted. Our purpose is export of meat of the horses that lost genetic potential," Talybov said.
He noted that Azerbaijan intends to export a horse meat generally to Kazakhstan:
"The agreement with Moldova is reached, however Kazakhstan will be the main direction. The question was brought up at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission of two countries, the agreement on implementation of specific actions is reached".
