Defense Ministries of Kazakhstan and Japan signed coop memo
The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Defense, Major-General Talgat Mukhtarov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Kazakhstan Ichiro Kawabata.
It should be noted that the draft memorandum between Kazakhstan and Japan's Ministries of Defense in the field of defense cooperation and interaction has been developed and agreed by the parties earlier.
According to the Kazakh Defense Ministry, the sides discussed the current issues of bilateral military cooperation.
Currently, Kazakhstan's military cooperation with Japan is in a developing stage. Activation occurs in the areas of military medicine and peacekeeping training. These directions represent the mutual interest in the development of cooperation between the Defense Ministries of two countries.
