Testing of the first Kazakhstan icebreaker ship "Kazhymukan" are successfully complete in Kazakhstan, BNews.kz correspondent reports. The vessel worth 1 billion tenge was assembled by specialists of JSC Scientific Research Institute Gidropribor from Uralsk.

The icebreaker ship was assembled based on the Ural repair yard in the conditions of the most strict privacy. A customer of the vessel is the border service of Committee of a homeland security of Kazakhstan.

"The icebreaker ship "Kazhymukan" successfully passed trial runs in the Caspian Sea. Military were satisfied with characteristics of the vessel. Length of the ship constitutes 22 meters, width – 7.5 meters. The vessel can go on ice 30 centimeters thick," CEO of JSC Scientific Research Institute Gidropribor Aleksander Gnelomedov said.

The icebreaker ship "Kazhymukan" project was developed by specialists of JSC Scientific Research Institute Gidropribor. Vessel panels were manufactured there. The ship was assembled on building berths of the Ural repair yard. It was floated on May, 2016. The vessel reached the Bautino port where the fleet of the border service of National Security Committee of Kazakhstan is based.

At the plant reported that this order became one of the most responsible for all history of the entity.

"A northern part of the Caspian Sea freezes in the winter. Therefore the icebreaker ship will be used in order that vessels of the border service could put out from Bautino's bay to the Caspian Sea". The ship will be served by team of six people," head of department of JSC Scientific Research Institute Gidropribor Amangeldy Kenzhegaliyev said.

It should be noted that for all history of JSC Scientific Research Institute Gidropribor more than 20 watercrafts were assembled at the entity. High-speed motor boats and the floating mooring are among them.
