Guinness World Records recognized Golovkin as the best knockouter (PHOTO)
The world champion in middleweight Gennady Golovkin received the certificate of the Guinness World Records for the highest knockout percentage - 91.67%. GGG was awarded this honor as the best knockouter in the history of a middleweight, BNews.kz correspondent reported.
"It's a huge honor to be part of WBC family. I appreciate your support,"Gennady wrote in his twitter account, having uploaded a picture of the certificate and awards of the World boxing recommendation.
Golovkin was awarded this honor as the world champion on middleweight with the highest percent of knockouts. On the account of the Kazakhstan boxer there are 36 victories in 36 fights out of which 33 are finished with a knockout. Also in he has a series from 23 early victories.
Thus, the indicator of percent of fights which Golovkin finished with a knockout is equal 91.67 and is the highest at the moment among defending champions of the world on average weight.
Golovkin received the appropriate certificate from the Guinness Book on the annual convention of WBC taking place these days in Hollywood. Also on this event the Kazakhstan citizen received two more awards - WBC recognized as "Event of the year" Golovkin's fight with British Kell Brook, and also handed GGG a special award as to the most dominating boxer.
