Kazakhstan became one of most popular resorts for Russians

According to the analysis of results of tourism in Russia in nine months of 2016, that is from January 1 to September 30, 2016, Kazakhstan has entered in TOP 3 of the popular countries among Russian tourists, BNews.kz correspondent reports.

The number of trips from Russia in nine months of 2016 was reduced by 6.1% to 25, 780,000 from 27,459,000 in nine months of 2015 according to Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat).

By estimates of the TurStat agency, following the results of 2016 number of trips from Russia will make 32 million.

Abkhazia, Kazakhstan, Finland, Ukraine, China, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Greece and Cyprus have entered in TOP 10 of foreign countries on number of trips from Russia following the results of nine months of 2016.

For the first nine months of 2016 Kazakhstan with 2,248,000 tours from Russia has risen to the second place from the third, China - to the fifth place from the ninth, Greece and Cyprus have taken the place of Turkey and Egypt in TOP 10 of the countries, popular with the Russian tourists.

The largest growth of trips for the first nine months of 2016 was shown by the beach directions: Tunisia (568,000 tours, +158% in comparison with nine months of 2015), Cyprus (692,000 +44%), Bulgaria (518,000 31%), Thailand (562,000 +28%), Greece (723,000 +20%) and China (1,183,000 +31%) and Georgia (595,000 +18%).

The number of trips to Spain (665,000 +12%) and Italy (557,000 +4%) has grown in 2016, but to the Czech Republic (252,000 -8%) has decreased.

In general tourist flow to the Baltic States has not changed – tourist flow to Estonia has grown (1,122,000 +1%) and Latvia (269,000 +8%), but to Lithuania (544,000 -4%) has decreased.
