N. Nigmatullin participates in TurkPA actions in Baku
The parliamentary delegation headed by chairman of Majilis Nurlan Nigmatullin participates in actions of Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) which take place in Baku (Azerbaijan), BNews.kz correspondent reports.
One of key events of parliamentarians meeting is opening of new office of this organization which was created at the initiative of head of our state Nursultan Nazarbayev, the press service of Majilis reports.
Within the visit Nurlan Nigmatullin held bilateral meetings with speakers of parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The chairman of Majilis began a conversation with speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kakhraman with words of a condolence to families of the dead as a result of the acts of terrorism which happened in Istanbul and Kayseri cities.
Having noted the high level of the Kazakhstan-Turkish relations in new historical conditions, N. Nigmatullin emphasized importance of the state visit of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kazakhstan in 2015 and also a visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Turkey in April and August, 2016.
"Turkey with big advantage could overcome difficulty after attempt of a military coup on July 15 this year. During this period your people once again proved to the whole world that Turkey is the democratic state. It is necessary to emphasize that after that incident President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was first who visited the Republic of Turkey," the speaker of Majilis said.
Ismail Kakhraman highly appreciated results of presidency of Kazakhstan in TurkPA this year, having noted at the same time prospects of the dialogue platform of parliamentarians in the conditions of present challenges.
Having raised the questions of negotiation on settlement of the conflict of Syria in Astana, I. Kakhraman noted:
"Today Astana plays an important peacekeeping role. It is the merit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Therefore I think the decision that Astana is chosen as the dialogue platform is right".
In the end of the meeting N. Nigmatullin invited the speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to pay to our country an official visit.
During the conversations with speaker Millie of Majlis of Azerbaijan Oktay Asadov and Chairman of Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan Chynybay Tursunbekov discussed questions of interaction within Assembly and activization of inter-parliamentary dialogue in general.
It is noted that close cooperation and mutual support corresponds to spirit of strategic partnership between the countries.
According to interlocutors, deepening of inter-parliamentary interaction will promote implementation of arrangements of heads of states in various spheres of partnership.
N. Nigmatullin expressed confidence that TurkPA member countries will continue fruitful work under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan which the country will accept from Kazakhstan next year.
