Nursultan Nazarbayev to participate in SEEC meeting in St. Petersburg
On December 26 the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will participate in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) and the session of Council of collective security of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in St. Petersburg, the Kremlin press service reported.
On the eve of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic council and the session of Council of collective security the working visit to St. Petersburg of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will take place. Leaders of Kazakhstan and Russia will discuss topical bilateral and international issues.
During SEEC meeting leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia will sum up the results of the first two years of work of the Eurasian Economic Union, will plan reference points on further development of integration consolidation. The planned agreement signature about the Customs code of EEU will become the central event of the summit. Also acceptance of some other important multilateral documents including directed to promotion of process of forming of single Eurasian commodity market and services is expected. Heads of states should approve the Main directions of the international activities of the Union for 2017, and also to consider various aspects of a cooperation with key trade and economic partners of the Eurasian union.
Within the meeting of the CSTO leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will discuss urgent spheres of allied interaction within the Organization, ensuring its current activities. Exchange of opinions on key questions of the global and regional agenda, including scope of counteraction to terrorist and extremist threats, fight against drug trafficking and weapon is planned.
