Pavlodar medical chief will pay penalty of 7.7 million tenge for New Year`s bribes from chief doctors, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
Pavlodar Court number two in criminal cases imposed penalty of 7.7 million tenge to the head of regional Department of Committee of payment of medical services of Kazakhstan Ministry of health care Djusebek Kazangapov.
Let`s remind, on December 30 the anti-corruption officers detained the head of the Department, and his Deputy Nurzhamal Ahanaeva in their offices during the "reward" for the signing of contracts on provision of the guaranteed free medical care.
Kazangapov and Ahanaeva celebrated the New Year in the investigatory isolation ward, then the head of Department got the house arrest.
According to case file, Djusebek Kazangapov received a bribe as a gift certificate of 30 000 tenge of the perfume shop from the head of the Pavlodar hospital. On the same day the official got in total 80, 000 tenge from Ekibastuz chief doctors.
The defendant admitted his guilt. According to his lawyer, official needed money for treatment his cancer care three-year old grandson.
The case of his deputy Nurzhamal Ahanaeva will be inquired separately in the court.
The case of the paid bribes chief doctors was dismissed due to their contrition. On December 31, they turn themselves in to the anti-corruption service.
