Presidents of Kazakhstan and Iran agreed to simplify visa regime and to develop tourism
Presidents of Kazakhstan and Iran agreed to begin work on simplification of a visa regime and stimulation of tourism development. Head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev told about it at a press conference in Akorda, Bnews.kz correspondent reports.
"Establishment of effective interaction in the sphere of mining metallurgy. Work on development of the field of copper together with the Iranian companies is begun in the Karaganda region. The Iranian side showed interest of carrying out geological and research works. We support it. After my visit to Tehran, flight between Almaty and Tehran which plies three times a week started, its load constitutes 65%, also the flight between Astana and Tehran is planned," N. Nazarbayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that it is necessary to begin specific actions on simplification of visa regime and tourism development stimulation.
"Iran will participate in the EXPO 2017 exhibition and presents their achievements in the sphere of alternative energy," the head of state said.
Also, according to the President, leaders of the countries exchanged opinions on topical international and regional issues.
"We reached the agreement of combination of our efforts to ways with such threats as distribution of Islamophobia, linking of our religion with terrorism. We also agreed to establish close cooperation on the way of fight against the international terrorism which became the dangerous phenomenon, extremism and other types of crimes," the president of Kazakhstan added.
Heads of states agreed to strengthen political interaction of two countries within such international organizations as the UN, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Asian recommendation and also aspiration of Iran to interact within the Eurasian Economic Union.
"We are ready to support this aspiration. Mutual understanding on all discussed questions was reached. All this demonstrates that our views and line items are similar and we are mutually interested," N. Nazarbayev said.
In general, as the President of Kazakhstan noted, there are great opportunities for strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries.
