Serviceman who neutralized terrorists in Aktobe: I don't consider myself a hero
The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev handed the degree award "Aybyn" III to the cadet of National guard Bakhtiar Kayyrbekov for worthy repulse to terrorists, attacked a military warehouse in Aktobe, BNews.kz reported.
"To receive an award from hands of the Supreme Commander, of course, is very exciting. I was nervous, but tried to hide. For me it is a special award. Further I want to continue officer military science. When I was in conscription service, I was suggested to be become the officer. After that there was a desire, and I entered the military institute of National guard in Petropavlovsk. I want to become the good officer and to carry out obligations of the commander of a part, to become an example for young soldiers," B. Kayyrbekov said.
The cadet was awarded with the Aybyn order of the III degree for worthy repulse to terrorists, who attacked a military warehouse in Aktobe.
"It was on June 5, at that time I took up in internal guard on protection of the military camp in Aktobe. I took up the third post in auto fleet. Before change there were only 20 minutes, I already thought of the following shift as I suddenly heard shots. At first I thought that there are trainings and didn't pay attention. In two minutes understood that shoot with the submachine guns, called to the second room and learned about attack. To the last time it seemed that it is an educational signal. there wrer 16 terrorists. I was reached by six in auto fleet. They shot at me, I acted under the charter, used a weapon on these people. I killed one terrorist. Of course, it was terrible I thought of my life, remembered parents," B. Kayyrbekov shared.
The officer doesn't consider himself a hero, and noted that he "just carried out obligations"
Let's remind, terrorist attack in Aktobe happened on June 5, 2016. The group of terrorists of 25 people committed an assault on weapon shops "Pallada" and "Pantera", having armed, they followed further in a body #6655 of the National guards of Kazakhstan.
