7 Kazakh tourists suffered from rockfall, one died
The emergency occurred in the area of the Skryabin Glacier, 40 km from the city of Bishkek.
"Kazakhstanis, who suffered from rockfall are being saved in Kyrgyzstan,” head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov reported, according to BNews.kz correspondent.
"Today, on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in the area of the Skryabin Glacier, 40 km from the city of Bishkek, a group of tourists fell under the rockfall, among the injured four citizens of Kazakhstan. According to the preliminary version, one person was killed. We are clarifying all the details," the press service of the ministry reported.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the assistance of the Kazakh consul, representatives of the Emergency Situations Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan have already joined the rescue of our citizens.
"The issue of sending a helicopter from Kazakhstan to evacuate the affected tourists is considered, among which there are also citizens of the Russian Federation," the MFA stated.
