Almaty and Astana entered in top-10 best cities of the CIS for winter travel
The analytical agency Turstat has made the rating of the best cities of the CIS for winter travel of the Russian tourists, BNews.kz reported.
According to the message published on the website of the agency, the rating is made by results of the analysis of popularity of tours this winter.
Minsk, Almaty and Baku are in the lead in the rating of winter travel to the CIS countries for New year. The agency reminds that New Year's holidays will take place in Russia from December 30 to January 8.
Minsk, Almaty, Baku, Astana, Yerevan, Tashkent, Brest, Bishkek, Chisinau and Ganja enter in top-10 the cities of the CIS, most popular with tourists, in the winter.
To the capitals of the CIS countries tourists travel to the weekend and also to tours on ski resorts: Chimbulak in Kazakhstan, Shahdagh and Tufandag in Azerbaijan, Silichi and Logoysk in the Minsk region of Belarus.
By data Turstat, tourists come to Kazakhstan in the winter on average for 5 days and spend $80 a day.
For inexpensive trips to the CIS Bishkek and Chisinau are popular, and for rest "luxury" Baku and Astana are in the lead.
