Astana hosts meeting of Council of CIS heads of government
In a narrow format, the heads of government exchanged views on topical issues of economic cooperation within the CIS.
Astana hosts a meeting of the Council of heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, BNews.kz reports.
"We see the Council as a unique platform uniting the states of the former Soviet Union, thanks to which we can exchange views on topical issues and cooperation in all areas of our cooperation. I am confident that the results of our work will strengthen and expand cooperation among our countries within the framework of the Commonwealth," said Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
In a narrow format, the heads of government exchanged views on topical issues of economic cooperation within the CIS and determined the date and place of their next meeting.
The heads of government also discussed the Concept of Cooperation of the CIS member states to develop high-tech energy equipment production and a plan of main measures for its implementation.
Following the meeting of the Council of CIS heads of government, it is planned to sign documents.
The draft agenda of the expanded meeting includes 13 issues related to cooperation in various fields, such as nuclear energy, space, innovation, ecology, communications and tax administration, as well as issues of the financial sector.
At the CST meeting, it is planned to sign the Protocol on the exchange of information in electronic form between the CIS member states for tax administration.
The document was prepared in order to more effectively comply with tax laws, timely and complete tax revenues to the budget and further development of trade and economic cooperation between the countries of the Commonwealth.
