Astana to hold a summit of the heads of the Central Asian states

Talks will be held on the eve of Nauryz, a common holiday for the Central Asian countries.

The Akorda press service shared on Facebook the working schedule of the head of state for the upcoming days, BNews.kz correspondent reports.

Thus, on March 13 the head of state will hold a meeting with speaker of the National Assembly of Korea Chung Sye-kyun. 

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on March 14 on invitation of Nursultan Nazarbayev. Within the visit, the heads of the two states will discuss the current issues of bilateral, regional and international agenda.

On March the President of Kazakhstan will take part in the working (advisory) meeting of the heads of the Central Asian states – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The fact that five-sided talks will be on the eve of Nauryz that is a common holiday for the Central Asian states is of a great importance.

In the connection of the planned events at a high level, Turkmenistan will be represented by Majlis Chairman Mrs. Nurberdyeva.

At the same day, a solemn opening ceremony of the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be held. Also, the leaders of the two counties will visit a gala-concert of art masters.

On March 16, the head of state will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Turkey and Iran, that are participants of the first ministerial meeting of the guarantor states of the Astana process on Syria.
