Astana’s clinics provided treatment to over 300 foreigners in 2018
Foreign patients received treatment in clinical areas such as neurosurgery, cardiosurgery, transplantology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, oncology, IVF, and so on.
According to the Health Care Development National Centre, over 300 foreign citizens received treatment in 9 major clinics of the city in 2018, a website of the capital city’s Mayor Office informs.
The data were presented during a medical tour involving tour operators, the capital city’s Tourism Association and bloggers to the National Cardiosurgical Centre, the National Neurosurgery Centre, the National Maternal and Child Health Scientific Centre, the Medical Centre of Administration of Affairs of the President of Kazakhstan’s hospital, and the National Scientific Medical Centre, and the Tomotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Centre “Umit”. They were presented with innovative medical services in clinical areas such as neurosurgery, cardiosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, IVF, Check-up services (diagnostics), X-ray diagnostics.
The main aspects of the work of certain medical centers famous among medical tourists were reported, including X-ray operational rooms, the Carto device, tomotherapy in treating solid malignant tumors.
A single website www.medicaltourism.kz was launched to ensure access to information about medical organizations, equipment, services, and specialists., as well as a call centre.
