Atameken NCE's head proposed to introduce KPIs in procurement
According to Kulibayev, heads of holdings and government agencies have a chance to conduct long-term procurements.
Timur Kulibayev announced it at the expanded session of the Presidium of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs involving Kazakh PM Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
The National Chamber of Entrepreneur's head noted the great support from the Government in developing entrepreneurship. Nevertheless, there are questions in digitalizing services of land provision in the regions, as well as public procurements and procurements of the quasi-public sector.
"A joint work is needed in order to more actively involve the capacity of special economic and industrial zones as funds were allocated to the infrastructure, as well as there are resources through various channels to diversify the economy. So it is necessary to actively use procurements of quasi-public companies and the public sector. KPIs need to be established for heads of holdings and government agencies that have a chance to conduct long-term procurements so they see what projects could be localized," said Timur Kulibayev.
The Presidium's head added that the support for domestic manufacturers is pertinent in terms of the presence in the Eurasian Economic Union.
"One can observe the powerful support for internal investment in our neighboring countries, particularly Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan. It is essential to compete within the EEU, considering that the EEU's perimeter will be more precisely shaped in terms of staying inside and the entry of external goods. We need to create favorable conditions for investment and strengthen the work in this area," said Timur Kulibayev.
