Collecting campaign of the ships of the Caspian flotilla to Kazakhstan is expected
In the nearest future the ships of the Caspian flotilla plan to visit the ports of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan within collecting campaign. This information was confirmed to BNews.kz own correspondent by the representative of the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan Vagif Dargyakhly.
"Yes, such action is planned," V. Dargyakhla said, having added that about terms of arrival of the Russian warships in the ports of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan there is no exact information yet.
Collecting campaign is carried out for development and strengthening international cooperation between the Caspian countries. The Velikiy Ustyug small rocket ship (SRS) and the given support vessels will take part in him.
Within 25 days of swimming crews of the ships will pass more than 2000 miles across the Caspian Sea and will check coordination and combat readiness to performance of tasks of mission. In particular, carrying out the two-day doctrine on protection of objects of the oil and gas industry against possible threats from illegal armed groups is planned.
Also crews of vessel in the period of a sea campaign will work tasks of joint maneuvering, elements of search and rescue providing, will carry out fighting exercises with artillery firing at the sea, air and coastal targets.
Earlier the chief of the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia (Southern Military District) colonel Vadim Astafyev has reported to the Russian media that the group of the ships of the Caspian flotilla as a part of the Velikiy Ustyug small rocket ship (SRS) and the given support vessels has already left the stationing site and collecting campaign has taken to the open sea for performance of tasks.
