Concept of Kazakhstan's tourism brand has been presented in Astana
The main idea is to shape the perception of Kazakhstan as a new and unexplored tourist destination for travelers.
Astana hosted the international Travel Media Talks forum dedicated to key trends in the development and promotion of the domestic tourism industry. During the forum, there was a presentation of a concept of the tourism brand of Kazakhstan, which should form a clear positioning of our country and make it attractive for traveling both for foreigners and for the people of Kazakhstan, BNews.kz reports.
At the same time, Kazakhstan will promote its own brands in the world, relying on the historical achievements of its people, which were outlined by the Head of State in his programmatic article “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe.” This was told by Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC "Kazakh Tourism" Kairat Sadvakasov. The uniqueness of our country lies in the diversity of historical and cultural features of its development, which, with the right approach, allows everyone to get an unforgettable experience - in the country's active diversity of ethnic groups, religions, culture and languages, cuisine, nature and climate, historical and sacred places.
"We are talking about the external and internal brand. What was sounded by the Head of State in his article is 100% our internal brand: we are a country of the great steppe. The article presents confirmed historical facts on which we must base. I want to say that there are national and tourism brands. Now, if we talk about a national brand, we need to think about what gift we have made to the world. And the President talks about them in his article. We would like to be associated with them. If we talk about tourism, then we want to be associated with other sub-brands. Kazakhstan is a birthplace of apples, tulips, the domestication of the horse, moreover, Altai is a cradle of Turkic civilization. We are to base our promotion on these sub-brands," said Kairat Sadvakasov.
As part of the Travel Media Talks forum, the country's tour brand project is presented to the general public and will be approved at the state level in the very near future. According to one of the top managers of the national company, finding the very unique brand that will attract millions of tourists to the country is always difficult.
“This is an attempt to find our uniqueness. It’s always very difficult to find a brand, but work will continue,” added Sadvakasov.
According to the organizers, in 2018 there has been a significant increase in the number of foreign tourists visiting Kazakhstan.
Thus, in the first 9 months of this year, 6.8 million foreign visitors visited Kazakhstan (a 16% increase). And about 4.6 million people constitute domestic tourism. Popularity is gained by such directions as Alakol, Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area, as well as the south of Kazakhstan.
