In addition, 11 thousand of guns and 600 vehicles were executed by regional inspection service.

Over the past 2.5 years, more than 4 thousand offenses have been identified, and 35 criminal cases have been initiated against 58 poachers. Poachers were reimbursed damages worth 125 million tenge, BNews.kz correspondent has learned from the press service of the governor of Atyrau region.

According to the head of the Atyrau Regional Territorial Inspection of Forestry and Fauna of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Daniyar Baymagambetov, in recent years, thanks to the well-coordinated work of all authorized bodies, the fight against poaching has taken on a large scale.

The fight against poaching has been significantly strengthened over the past two years. Thus 14 criminal cases were initiated in 2014-2015, in 2016-2017 their number increased up to 35. Over the past two years, poachers have reimbursed damages worth 125 million tenge, in 2014-2015 - 33 million. In 2016-2017, 11 thousand fishing gear and 600 floating and transport vehicles were confiscated, for example in 2014-2015 - 8500 gears and 367 vehicles.

In words of Baimagambetov, it has already brought real results. By the way for the first time in many years, young stellate sturgeons were found in the Ural River during scientific research work, which shows the effectiveness of fish protection works, since valuable fish species - sturgeon, have reached spawning sites.

Much attention was paid to the development of a fishing limit for fishing cooperatives. Under strict control, the tawny areas and fishes were taken. As a result of the organization of these events, the percentage of quota development by the fish industry entities was managed to be increased to the limit- 87.3% - the highest figure for the last 8 years.

"Unfortunately, facts have been revealed when some of the employees of the fishing cooperatives did not register all their catch, preferring to sell it to the side, thus not mastering their entire limit for fishing and stimulating the shadow market," the head of the inspection service said.

Daniyar Baymagambetov added to date, every official fishing vessel and fish reception points have been taken under control so that the nature users catch only the permitted fish species in the amount prescribed by law.
