East Kazakhstan intends to develop joint tourism with Uzbekistan
Trade volume between East Kazakhstan region and Uzbekistan for the last period amounted to 2 billion dollars.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan Saidikram Niyazkhodzhayev during a meeting with the first deputy of governor of East Kazakhstan region Yerlan Aimukhashev voiced out plans of both states to develop joint tourism, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
The interlocutors discussed the development of bilateral Kazakh-Uzbekistan partnerships. It should be noted relations between East Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are at high level.
To date, East Kazakhstan is an industrial trade centre of the country. The main branch of the economy is a non-ferrous industry. Besides metalworking and hydro energy, mining and processing industries are developed as well. High potential is observed in the agricultural sector, health care, education, and culture.
According to first deputy governor of the region, East Kazakhstan is interested in an extension of contacts and cooperation with Uzbek partners. There are nine joint enterprises with Uzbekistan in the region. Yerlan Auimukashev believes the meeting will give an impetus to further fruitful bilateral cooperation.
In turn, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan announced the keen interest in further development of the bilateral relations in following spheres: trade-economic, cultural, humanitarian and touristic industries.
Uzbekistan eager to maintain brotherhood with Kazakhstan. During the visit to East Kazakhstan, Uzbek Ambassador is expected to familiarize with agricultural complex and tourism sphere of the region. According to Saidikram Niyazkhodzhayev, it is planned to organize joint travels.
Trade volume between East Kazakhstan region and Uzbekistan for the last period amounted to 2 billion dollars and 1 billion 4 million dollars over the six months of the 2018 year. Moreover, this figure according to projections should reach 3 billion dollars.
