EEU, ASEAN expand investment cooperation
The Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the ASEAN Secretary-General signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The Eurasian Economic Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations are to cooperate in customs regulations, BNews.kz reports referring to KazTAG.
"The sides are to cooperate in customs regulations and trade facilitation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical regulation, e-commerce, trade and investment, entrepreneurship development. It will primarily create necessary conditions to develop stable interaction at the level of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises," they said in a press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Chairman of the EEC Board, Tigran Sarkisyan, and ASEAN Secretary-General Lim Jock Hoi.
"The signing of the memorandum will facilitate the multifaceted expansion of the trade and economic and investment interaction between the EEU states and the ASEAN member states," said Tigran Sargsyan.
