Brazil–Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce launches in Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro hosted the opening ceremony of the first Brazil - Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.
The event was attended by the members of the National Congress of Brazil, heads of energy companies, banking institutions, representatives of industry associations and the business community of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, the AKIPress reported.
President of the Chamber, head of “Pereira Viana” Company Cassiano Viana called the opening of the Chamber of Commerce a historic event and stressed that Kazakhstan and Brazil are the undisputed leaders in their regions.
"The Chamber of Commerce will facilitate the building of partnerships between the entrepreneurs of two countries for the implementation of the existing economic and investment potential," he said.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil Kairat Sarzhanov, for his part, informed the participants about the main achievements of the country during 25 years of independence under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as the state programs designed to stimulate the economic growth in Kazakhstan.
He told about the investment potential of the country, "EXPO-2017" exhibition and he urged the Brazilian business to cooperate actively. Highlighting Kazakhstan's interest in strengthening mutually beneficial relations with Brazil, the Kazakh diplomat expressed his confidence that the activities of the Chamber of Commerce “Brazil-Kazakhstan” will make a significant contribution to the development of trade and business between two countries.
