Foreign entrepreneurs pocketed over 3.6 billion tenge from state purchases

The mayor office of city and Chamber of entrepreneurs of Almaty checked how domestic manufacturers get in state purchases, BNews.kz correspondent reports.


The commission reprimanded 720 entities, 9 managements and 295 subordinated organizations. As it became clear, state structures preferred to buy import products in the presence of similar domestic goods. More than 3.6 billion tenge instead of making profit for local producers were pocketed by foreign entrepreneurs.

"We checked health sector, education, a construction, power and municipal services, nature protection activities and agricultural industry. We found 74 violations. We can and should provide a Kazsoderzhaniya share to 70% and in some spheres to 80%. The first heads should bear the personal liability for Kazsoderzhaniya indicators in state purchases," member of the commission, director of Chamber of Almaty entrepreneurs Yury Tleumuratov said.

Now the department of education will buy only domestic office supplies, cleaners and furniture. Management of health care will buy domestic medicines and the equipment.

The commission rendered assistance to the Kazakhstan producers when purchasing on the amount more than 49 billion tenge. The domestic production is actively used by JSC National Company Astana EXPO 2017 and during the preparation for the World Universiade 2017.

Following the results of 11 months of this year Kazsoderzhaniya share in purchases of local executive bodies of Almaty constituted 66.8% against 28% of last year with growth by 2.4 times.

Now the Chamber of entrepreneurs together with mayor office of the city prepares the annual share "State Order 2017", with involvement of suppliers and customers.
