Having researched the investment field of Kazakhstan, domestic and foreign experts allocated four most attractive sectors of the Kazakhstan economy where it is the most profitable to invest and remain in plus. During the conference "Kazakhstan: new investment opportunities" it was discussed about what directions, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev pays much attention to a question of forming of the favorable environment for attraction of foreign investments to the country for the purpose of development of a trade and economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and other countries.
For achievement of this purpose, the Ministry for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan continuous work on forming of the relations and fixing of a cooperation with foreign business. As minister of investments and development of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kassymbek reported, inflow of direct foreign investments to economy of Kazakhstan for the last 11 years constituted more than 230 billion dollars.
"The main objective always was to turn Kazakhstan in the region into a magnet for investments, to create the center for a transfer of technologies, the center for competence," he said.
According to him, implementation of a visa-free regime for the main investment partners of Kazakhstan became one of results.
Director of representative office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kazakhstan Janet Hekman noted that Kazakhstan rather well overcame economic downturn in an oil and gas industry in the region and coped with it this year.
"We predict positive GDP growth, about 0.7% with significant improvement next year about 2.4%. We consider that inflation reached the peak and we expect already inflation figure as a digit until the end of the current year and next month," she said.
Within the conference annual rewarding of the foreign investors who made a contribution to industrialization of Kazakhstan took place. 10 companies in such sectors of economy as agro-industrial complex, the food industry, the oil and gas and construction industries, automotive industry, a chemical industry, mining and metallurgical complex and transport infrastructure were noted for investment activity.
