Exports of agricultural products increased by 1.3 times over the past five years in Kazakhstan
Exports of agricultural products has grown by 1.3 times in the last five years and by the end of 2015 reached 1,1 bn dollars, said the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, BNews.kz reported.
"It is well known that our country exports wheat. We believe that, in general, the establishment of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOPB) within the framework of various projects and programs will increase wheat exports by one mn tons per year," said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Ermek Kosherbayev at the Service of the central press conference communications.
According to the agency, now the country's agricultural area is more than 200 mn hectares.
"The volume of gross agricultural output increased by 4.4% in 2015 and amounted to 2.7 trn tenge. Exports of agricultural products increased by 1,3 times for the last five years and reached 1,1 b dollars by the end of 2015," said the Ministry of Agriculture.
