Kazakhstan allocated 4,6 bn tenge for the fight against locusts
The spread of harmful organisms is projected on an area of 5.2 million hectares in Kazakhstan, in 2016, said Azhar Kadzhibekova, the director of department of processing of crop production of the Ministry of Agriculture, BNews.kz reports.
"In 2016, the spread of highly dangerous pest is projected on an area of 5.2 mn hectares, including the gregarious locust pest species in the area - 1.8 mn hectares of grain shovels gray - 0.9 mn hectares of crops disease - 2 4 mn hectares of other species - 0.1 mn hectares, " she said during the briefing at CCS.
A.Kadzhibekova recalled that 4,6 bn tenge had been allocated for the fight against these extremely dangerous pests of agricultural crops on the "Providing phytosanitary security" republican budget program.
"In the future, the issue of chemical treatments transfer against quarantine and especially dangerous objects, except for gregarious species of locusts, agricultural producers and subsidizing the cost of pesticides, used for these purposes," said the representative of agricultural department.
