Kazakhstan to produce drones for Defence Ministry needs
The Kazakhstan engineers prepare for assembly and release of domestic unmanned aerial vehicles of the Sky-lark and Hermes series together with the Israeli company Elbit Sistems, the head department of the Kazakhstan Aviation Industy LLP UAV Zhantu Mamashev said on the IV forum of Kazakhstan mechanicians, BNews.kz correspondent reported.
"Within the reached agreements with the Israeli company Elbit Sistems unmanned aerial vehicles of the Sky-lark and Hermes series are taken advantage of Kazakhstan Defense agency. Now the issue according to the conclusion of agreements on delivery of the necessary equipment on the organization of an assembly line and maintenance of these UAVs is handled, and also questions of licensing and transfer of a know-how of technologies for assembly and maintenance of data UAVs in Kazakhstan are discussed," Zhant Mamashev told.
According to him, the conclusion of agreements is planned until the end of 2016, delivery dates of the equipment take up from seven months to half a year. With respect thereto production, assembly new and maintenance of UAVs which are already armed the Ministry of Defence is planned in 2017.
