Leaders of world innovations gathered in Astana
XI Innovative congress accented on four directions, important for Kazakhstan: power, new materials, information and communication technologies, deep conversion in agro-industrial complex began its work in the capital Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The congress brought together the international and Kazakhstan experts, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
This year the congress pays special attention to four directions, important for the Republic of Kazakhstan: power, new materials, information and communication technologies (automation, robotization, digitalization) and deep conversion in agro-industrial complex. The congress JSC «National Technology Development Agency» with assistance of the Ministry for Investments and Development became organizers. The congress brought together the international and Kazakhstan experts, representatives of the government and the local executive authority, heads of national holdings and the national companies, institutes of development, scientific research institute, key participants of national innovative system.
Minister of Education and Science Erlan Sagadiyev opened the international meeting having emphasized that the international experience is very important for Kazakhstan in search of new decisions and opportunities in the field of a technological entrepreneurship.
"At the request of the head of state two strategic innovative clusters works on forming of a necessary ecosystem for an innovative entrepreneurship in Astana and Almaty. We hope that the forthcoming EXPO 2017 exhibition will bring serious results in respect of innovative development for the next years. We understand that increase in competitiveness of domestic enterprises in the international market requires fixed attraction of new knowledge and a transfer of technologies. Therefore international cooperation and consultation with experts in the field of technologies and innovations are very important to Kazakhstan for search of new decisions and opportunities for growth," the minister said.
The program of the congress includes holding the Plenary session on the subject "Role of innovations in second "five year plan" of State Programme for Industrial and Innovation Development", panel sessions of "International experience of development of key technologies" and "Development of "clean technologies" within concept EXPO 2017 "Energy of the future". The authoritative international organizations and institutes in the field of state policy, economy and innovations are involved in carrying out the congress for this purpose.
Among speakers of the congress there is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate (2007) Rae Kwon Chung, creator of the leading business incubator of Israel "L.N. Innovative Technologies" Klara Oren, head of Japan Technology Group Mitsu Yamomoto, director of Representative of Konrad Adenauer fund in Kazakhstan Thomas Helm, head of the Kazakhstan USAID program for climate change control Aleksey Sankovsky.
