EU to boost interaction with C Asian states

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini told about the intention of the European Union to strengthen interaction with Central Asia during a press conference, an official website of the Khabar 24 TV channel informs.
It is expected that Brussels will introduce a new Strategy of the European Union for Central Asia for in the next year. Strengthening of the interaction will be under discussion at the ministerial meeting "EU-Central Asia" on November 23 in Brussels, where the participation of Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov is expected.
The head of the European Diplomacy noted that the document will include a whole range of matters concerning economic and investment cooperation, as well as transnational partnership in water and energy, the improvement if security within and beyond the region.
"We have talked over the strengthening of our cooperation with the Central Asian region with ministers of the EU member states, and it is very important. This work will continue with a strong intention to strengthen bilateral relations with the states of the region. I chair the forthcoming ministerial meeting with my colleagues from the Central Asian states "EU-central Asia" on November 23 in Brussels. The key themes of the meeting include the interaction with the region and a new strategy of the EU for Central Asia. Today, there has been unanimity of all EU states to strengthen the interaction with Central Asia, as well as to focus on not only interconnectedness or energy but also the support for inter-regional cooperation and security," said Federica Mogherini.
