Experts discussed issues of digitalization in innovation eco-system
Kazakh PM Bakytzhan Sagintayev notes the digitalization should primarily improve life of citizens.
The meeting discussed the current issues relating to the development of digitalization and the results of the implementation of the national Digital Kazakhstan programme, with a special regard to the influence of innovation on the development of human capital. An exchange of views on the world experience in digital development, the role of e-government, the ways of educating young gifted persons, the importance of developing the culture of investing in startup projects, the enhancement of financial sustainability when designing modern technological systems as well as the innovation eco-system’s input on education quality and employment took place, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
It should be noted that this year’s meeting was attended by the world-level experts - the guests of the upcoming forum “Digital agenda in an era of globalization 2.0. Innovation ecosystem of Eurasia”, who shared their opinions on the current development of the world innovation eco-system and Kazakhstan’s capacity in this field. They are Chief of Digital Government at United Nations Vincenzo Aquaro, CEO of Big Innovation Centre Birgitte Andersen, Zero One Booster’s president and co-founder George Goda, CEO at Rochstarz Asia, Astana Hub Joseph K. Ziegler, digital economy advisory, former CEO at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Yasmin Mahmood, IDC Vice President for Russian and CIS Robert Farish, CEO at T Labs, a dean at Singularity University’s Economics and Finance Faculty Amin Toufani, and head of IoT and connected devices for the World Economic Jeff Merritt, the Kazakh PM’s press office has informed.
The meeting was also participated by representatives of the Kazakh universities: rector at Kazakh British Technical University Kenzhebek Ibrashev, rector at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Galimkair Mutanov, rector at the International Information Technology University Damir Shynymekov, vice-rector for corporate development at Satbayev Kazakh National Technical University Bakhytzhan Barmagambetov, vice-president for innovation at Nazarbayev University Erden Kusain, vide-rector for academic affairs at Nazarbayev University Michael Lewis.
Concluding the meeting, PM Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the digitalization should primarily focus on the improvement of life of people. It was also noted that under constant technological upgrading, digital innovations should be implemented promptly. In this regard, the proposals and recommendations stated by the experts will be thoroughly worked out.
