Food prices climb 4% in Kazakhstan

A growth of food prices and household cleaning products fixed in Kazakhstan, correspondent has learnt from the press service of National bank of Kazakhstan.

According to data of the Statistics Committee under Kazakhstan’s Ministry of National Economy in June, the inflation rate was 0.2%, year to date -2.6%. herewith the year inflation rate was 5.9%.

Prices for non-food products increased to 8.4%, food prices and paid services -4.2% and 5.5% respectively

By the way, the volume of residents’ deposits in depository organizations as of the end of June 2018 amounted to 17, 840.2 billion tenge (an increase of 5.6% over the month). Deposits of legal entities increased by 8.0% to 9,455.4 billion tenge, deposits of individuals by 3.0% to 8,384.8 billion tenge.

In the national currency, the volume of deposits for the month increased by 5.4% to 9,903.1 billion tenge, in foreign currency - by 5.8% to 7,917.1 billion tenge . The level of dollarization at the end of June was 44.5%.

Business loans as of the end of June 2018 amounted to 12,831.1 billion tenge, which is an increase of 0.9% over the month. At the same time, the volume of corporate loans increased by 0.3% to 7,997.3 billion tenge, individuals - by 1.9% to 4,833.8 billion tenge.

In June, loans totaling 1,321.2 billion tenge were issued. This indicator increased for the month by 34.4%.
