Four UAE citizens detained in Kazakhstan for shooting of Red Book birds
Four citizens of the United Arab Emirates and two Kazakhstan citizens were detained for shooting of Red Book birds on border of the Southern Kazakhstan and Jambyl regions, BNews.kz correspondent reported with reference to the press secretary of Committee of forestry and fauna Saken Dildakhmet reported.
"On October 12 when holding road actions by group of inspectors of the Jambyl strong point of RGKP "PO Okhotzooprom, together with the Jambyl territorial inspection of forestry and fauna in bliz of the item Aktobe on border of the Southern Kazakhstan and Jambyl regions 4 citizens of the United Arab Emirates and 2 locals by two cars of the Nissan Patrol and Prado Toyota Land Cruiser brand have been detained. At survey of the car 1 falcon, 1 red-book strept, 2 hazel grouses, 2 hares are found," Saken Dildakhmet told.
On the scene the operational-investigations group of the Sarysuy District Department of Internal Affairs is called. The personality of violators is identified.
It should be noted that the strepet-bird who until recently was under the threat of disappearance, and now increases in number. This bird species is included in the Red Book. It is not contained in zoos in Kazakhstan. The bird is protected in the Naurzum reserve and some wildlife areas; no more than 2-3 couples live in each of them.
Two days ago for shooting of the strepet have detained six Kostanay citizens.
Hazel grouses are also included in the Red Book of Kazakhstan, they share on the belobryukhikh and the chernobryukhikh. On the belobryukhikh hunting is forbidden since 1978. So far the Kazakhstan part of an area was considerably reduced: Muyunkumov and Betpak-Dala inhabits desert areas from the Aral Sea to east edges.
