Fragrance of flowers worth 823 mln tenge is in the air of Atyrau
More than 25 kinds of flowers were planted on the threshold of the Caspian Summit.
"832 million tenge spent for purchase of seven million flowers to be planted in Atyrau while preparation for the fifth Caspian summit,” head of Zhasulan Flora LLP Zhumagul Omarova informed. This organization was involved by the governor’s office of Atyrau region for decorating the city with flowers especially for the political event, BNews.kz correspondent reports with reference to InAktau.
On the eve of the summit more than 25 kinds of flowers were planted in the city: lavender, yarrow, petunia of different varieties, marigold, cineraria, stachys, begonia, pelargonium, barberry, etc. Unfortunately, 60% of flowers are annual. According to the governor of Atyrau region Zhangeldi Aubakirov initially more perennial flowers were expected to be planted, which was done, but later many of them did not take root.
In turn, Zhumagul Omarova noted the city’s decoration turned out to be a difficult task.
Over seven wagons of German and Lithuanian peat, perlite for looseness, hydrogel were imported there to retain moisture due to the fact that the local sandy soil instantly dries up after watering. In some particularly difficult places flowers have been planted ten times. But I think that the common vision of flower beds and grassed are not bad.
As reported earlier the summit of the heads of the Caspian states will be held in Aktau on August 11-12.
