Hangzhou starts Kazakhstan Economics Research Centre
The Centre will familiarize China's students and the expert community with Kazakhstan's social and economic development, its history, culture and customs.
Zhejiang University of Economic and Finances held a solemn opening ceremony of the Economics Research Centre of Kazakhstan. It was founded under the support of the embassies of Kazakhstan and China and Kazakhstan's Consulate General in the city of Shanghai, BNews.kz correspondent reports referring to INA Kazinform.
The Centre will familiarize China's students and the expert community with Kazakhstan's social and economic development, Kazakh history, culture and customs.
During the opening ceremony, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Chian Shakhrat Nuryshev familiarized the students with the priorities of Strategy-2050, the key provisions of the Address of the President of Kazakhstan to the people of Kazakhstan - 'Growing Welfare of Kazakh citizens: Increase in income and Quality of Life', the 'The Course towards the Future: Modernization of Public Conscience' programme and with other tasks of the country's economic and political development.
One of the main tasks of the Kazakh Economics Research Centre in Hangzhou will be to establish cooperation and partnership with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), to involve in the formation of specific recommendations to develop Kazakhstan securities market, as well as to hold joint research in economics and finances.
Also worthy of note is that Kazakhstan's first Centre in Chian was opened under Beijing Foreign Studies University on December 13, 2015. Then they were opened under Shanghai, Dalian, Xi'an University if Foreign Languages. This Centre is the fifth one and the first of an economic nature.
