Head of state is outspokenly critical on small and medium-sized businesses
Nursultan Nazarbayev urged businessmen do their part.
During his visit to Pavlodar region, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev drew attention to the low level of development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
“To date, the share of medium and small businesses in the structure of the region's economy remains low - 17%. This is well below the national average of 27%. As a result of the first quarter, the output of small and medium-sized businesses declined by another 16%. Therefore, we must use all reserves for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, increase their business activity, "Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Kazakhstan’s leader pointed out the country makes every effort to improve conditions for entrepreneurs’ activity. Head of state reminded on state assistance small and medium business having mentioned moratorium on audits of small and medium-sized businesses, microloans granting within Business Road Map, various subsidies, lack of income tax duties in frames of Five Social Initiatives. Besides the President cited Germany as an example explaining 70 % of the German economy is a merit for small and medium-sized businesses. Germany is recognizable all over the world for its industry. The financial crisis had no impact on Germany due to flexible enterprises. In sum Nursultan Nazarbayev urged businessmen do their part.
