Head of state received Uzbek Majlis Speaker
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the Parliaments of the two states play an important role in implementing the documents signed and the agreements reached.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nuriddinjon Ismailov, an official website of Akorda informed, BNews.kz reports.
Having welcomed the guest, the head of state noted the positive growth dynamic of relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
"As of today, our relations are at a good level. We meet Shavkat Mirziyoyev several times a year and discuss all pressing issues in the economic and political cooperation. The Parliaments of the two states play an important role in implementing the documents signed and the agreements reached," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In his turn, Nuriddinjon Ismailov conveyed the welcome speech from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as told about the results of the past talks between the parliamentarians of the two states.
"It is true, the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan has entered a high level of development over the last period. This, firstly, is possible due to warm and friendly relations between the Presidents of the two states who started a new age of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. You have lived up to the hope of our peoples - to live in peace and harmony. And we are grateful for that," said the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
