I am ready to drive big ship with you - Xi Jinping to Nazarbayev
The head of state, in turn, invited the Chairman of China to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.
The President of Kazakhstan being on a state visit in Beijing met with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in an expanded format, a press service of the Akorda reports.
After a ceremony of an official meeting, talks between the two leaders of state in an expanded format took place.
In his welcome speech, the head of state expressed gratitude for invitation to pay a state visit and noted traditionally warm welcome by China’s side.
“First of all, I congratulate you on re-election to the highest state post and successful holding of the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China that has become a world scale event as part of the formation of socialism with China’s peculiarities,” said the President of Kazakhstan.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the increase of the role of the Communist Party of China as the basis of the country’s statehood in the implementation ‘The Chinese Dream’.
The head of state paid attention on the high dynamics of Kazakh-Chinese relations, noting 18 high-level meetings since 2012.
“Over these time, we have signed 127 bilateral documents for the total amount of 67 billion dollars. We need to keep the dialogue. The volume of mutual trade over the last year reached nearly 11 billion dollars with an increase of more than 30%. We have a huge potential to promote bilateral relations,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The President of Kazakhstan highly appraised the personal contribution of China’s Chairman to the gradual development of good-neighbourly relations in the spirit of friendship, equality, mutual cooperation and esteem for State sovereignty.
“Our cooperation has become more strengthened within the implementation of your initiative on construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
China’s leader, in turn, noted the high level of development of bilateral interaction that turned into an example of good-neighbourliness, and pointed strengthening of mutual trust and cooperation in the implementation of joint infrastructure initiatives, including the program of One Belt, One Road.
“We are willing to build a unified fate of humanity with Kazakhstan and make intellectual and physical efforts to create a brighter future of humanity. I am ready to drive a big ship of Chinese-Kazakh friendship with you,” said Xi Jinping.
During the talks, China expressed interest in delivery of environmentally clean Kazakhstan’s agricultural products in its market, as well as deepening bilateral cooperation in energy, oil sectors, as well as in the sphere of cultural and humanitarian relations, new technologies and digitalization.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state invited China’s Chairman to Kazakhstan on an official visit.
