In Kazakhstan, AI-92 gasoline increased in price by 15% per year

The average retail price for AI-92 gasoline increased by 1.1% within a month, and in March 2018 was 163.4 tenge (0.5 US dollars) per liter.

The most popular gasoline brand of AI-92 has risen in price for the year by 15%. At the same time, the summer and winter diesel prices jumped by 23-24% per year, energyprom.kz reports.

The average retail price for gasoline AI-92 increased by 1.1% within a month, and in March 2018 was 163.4 tenge (0.5 US dollars) per liter. Within a year, the price for the most popular brand of gasoline jumped by 14.9%.

At the same time, AI-95/96 gasoline went up by 0.2% within a month, to 178.2 tenge (0.55 US dollars) per liter, within a year - by 15.2%. The gasoline of AI-98 rose in price by 0.9% within a month, to 192.1 tenge (0.59 US dollars), the annual growth reached 17%.

Summer diesel prices rose by 1% within a month and in March 2018 it was 162.1 tenge (0.5 US dollars) per liter (the growth of 23.2% within a year). Winter diesel fuel, on the contrary, fell in price by 0.4% within a month, to 210.8 tenge (0.65 US dollars). At the same time, the annual increase in price for winter diesel fuel reached 23.8%.

According to the information-analytical publication, for January-March of 2018, 830.8 thousand tons of gasoline were produced, which is 2.6% more than in the same period of the last year.

The volumes of diesel fuel production, on the contrary, slightly decreased: for the first quarter of this year - 1.06 million tons that is 2.9% less than for the same period in 2017.

More than three quarters of the motor fuel was provided by Pavlodar and South Kazakhstan regions - 350.9 thousand tons (Kazakhstan’s share of 42.2%) and 281.2 thousand tons (Kazakhstan’s share of 33.8%), respectively. The Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant and Shymkent Refinery “PetroKazakhstan Oil Products” operate here. Atyrau region, where the Atyrau Refinery is located, had 179.4 thousand tons, Kazakhstan’s share of 21.6%.
