Kabananga returns to FC Astana
A lease contract on the attacker in the Kazakhstan champion team expires in July 2019.
FC Astana and Al-Nasr (Saudi Arabia) signed a lease contract on forward of the national football team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Junior Kabananga in the Kazakhstan champion team, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
Junior Kabananga played three seasons for FC Astana, in 89 matches, scored 38 goals and made 19 assists. At the moment, he is the third goalscorer in the club’s history.
The forward of the national football team of the Congo scored important goals for FC Astana, and his goal was victorious for the club in the match against FC Kairat in 2016 at the Kazakhstan Cup.
In UEFA Europe League matches, Kabananga scored 6 balls for the FC Astana being the best in the matches against Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. (twice), Villarreal CF, FC BATE Borisov, Olympiacos F.C. and Legia Warsaw.
In the national football team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Junior Kabananga was the best goalscorer of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as joint its symbolic team.
We note that Junior moved from FC Astana to Al-Nasr in the winter of 2018 and during this time he scored 4 goals in 6 matches.
We note on July 18 FC Astana holds a return match against Montenegro’s team FK Sutjeska of the first round of qualification of the UEFA Champions League. In the first match, Kazakhstan’s club had a victory with the score of 1:0.
